Note:
Confirmed classification of Research. Upon completion of the program intervention outcome measures such as implicit and explicit skills as pertains to trauma-informed practices in substance-use-disorder community paraprofessional work, time-management, basic counseling skills, basic administrative and policy practice skills and so on. These outcomes would be measures with standardized instruments. Outcome data will be collected on all these measures. Moreover, process and monitoring data would be collected on every component of the logic model activity-output and community level outcome data such as number of people seeking chemical dependency licensure. Dissemination is an important component of this project. Outcome and process data will be collected, cleaned, and disseminated through peer reviewed journals and conferences, through social media blogs and community workshops and continuing education training. One of the new knowledge would be how personal experiences with SUD translates into a professionally train curriculum. This project will also measure systemic participation of the community organization and the university partnership using metrices. This project data will contribute to new knowledge on the intersection of community health work and substance use disorders at the paraprofessional healthcare workforce. The project will be inclusive to the needs of diverse workforce of the Dallas Fort Worth area. Input will be taken from various stakeholders to make sure that the new knowledge will contribute further to the workforce development research that federal funding agencies like HRSA and SAMHSA keenly contribute.
