Note:
As part of the CPNC, the UNT team will: • collect, compile and manage data and automatically feed such data to a tool (developed and maintained by Community National Center) that will match academic programs offered by designated NCAE-C participating institutions; • rake knowledge, entry-level competency requirements, and expectations defined by the employers; • utilize published information such as the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework and OPM guidelines. Note: the tool will be developed and maintained by the community national center (CCNC) and CPNC will feed the collected data and not be involved with the data-to-day operation/maintenance of the tool. After cleaning job posting data, we plan to undertake two tasks simultaneously: i) cluster the job roles and ii) cluster the job skills. These two tasks require the development of natural language processing techniques for understanding the syntax and semantics of the posting. Further, these two tasks use machine learning techniques to create two clusters; one for job roles and another for skills. Next, we develop a mapping between skills and job roles. Finally, based on the mapping, we plan to create ER (entity-relationship diagrams) and database schema that can be forwarded to CCNC for matching the CAE school programs to the job requirements. The database created by CPNC can also be used to match student skills to the job postings.
