SAM 1.2.1 The CEFT Frank J. and Hermine Hurta Kostohryz Residency in Czech Music and Culture was established to recognize the rich quality and diversity of music in the Czech lands, to celebrate all traditions of Czech music and to provide support for the promotion of Czech music and musicians at the university. The purpose of this fund is to promote Czech music and culture in Texas by attracting distinguished Czech musicians, composers, artists and educators to UNT to teach, perform, conduct research and expand outreach throughout the state of Texas.
