Note:

Dr. Mark Albert (co-I) will devote 0.6 calendar months per year for five years. Dr. Albert is an Assistant Professor at University of North Texas Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Biomedical Engineering. He directs the Biomedical AI Lab at University of North Texas. He is also an adjunct Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He led accelerometer data processing and analyses for the pilot study of this R01 application that explored machine learning activity recognition algorithms for toddlers. Based on his expertise and experience in machine learning, in this R01 project, he will oversee the development and validation activities for Aim 1, to develop and validate an accelerometer-based algorithm for toddler activity recognition, working with Dr. Honegger and Dr. O’Brien in the machine learning team. He will also contribute to dissemination of the project output. He will attend a monthly project meeting and provide continuous consultation via emails and virtual meetings.
