Note:

UNT will be developing educational tools to facilitate comparison of event graphs, that occur during non-deterministic scientific code execution. We will collaborate with UTK to integrate these tools into the education module. In this project, we put our combined expertise in HPC, scientific computing and data analytics to the service of bridging the gap between Data Science and HPC-enabled domain science. Our main goal in this project is to develop and deliver training targeted at data scientists and Data Science students looking to understand the impact of HPC-related non-determinism in their data science workflows. We will accomplish this by (1) introducing students, software developers, and data scientists to non-determinism and its impact on code executions affecting scientific data generation; (2) developing use cases and software tools for the visualization and analysis of communication-induced non-determinism; and (3) demonstrating and educating the Data Science community through tutorials and open course materials
