SAMs 1.1.1--The goal of this research project is the design and Modify Evidence-Based Peer-Mediated Reading Program to Differentiate Instruction and Accelerate Learning Among Underrepresented Groups: Implementing PALS in the Rio Grande Valley. This research program consists of coordinating and implementation in Texas sites for field work and conducting pre and post assessment activities in approximately 60 classrooms. This research project will recruit schools and districts to participate. Once schools and districts are identified IRB applications will be completed. We will oversee coaching support and training for teachers in 30 classrooms that will include two visits per teacher. Research will ensure fidelity collection in 30 classrooms. We will support project meetings and reports for IES, as relevant to the research project. Progress of the research project will be disseminated with schools and districts. We will collaborate with the AIR team on intervention adaptations throughout the research project.relevant to the research project.
