Note:

SAMs 1.1.1--UTRGV will be responsible for overseeing part of the conceptual and scientific aspects of the psychological assessments in this research grant. UTRGV study personnel is limited to Dr. Alfonso Mercado (Associate Professor of Psychological Science). Dr. Mercado will assist with psychological training and quality assurance. He will particularly lead the data collection in McAllen, Texas and Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Dr. Mercado will also actively participate in the meetings of project investigators and student staff to review the progress of the research and address any emergent issues. The Prime, University of Houston (UH), will be the payee for the students, training, and travel of all involved. Dr. Mercado will also assist the PI in analyzing, interpreting, presenting, and publishing the study results. This research project is under IRB Annual Review.
