SAMs 1.1.1--This research project will take a comparative approach to understand the power dynamics that surround energy transformations, disruptions and rebuilding. This research project is designed as a comparative communityengaged research project with three sites of exploration: Puerto Rico, Massachusetts and West Virginia. The UTRGV team will focus on the research activities regarding Puerto Rico. Three communities in the main island of Puerto Rico, that are representative of the unique challenges that different communities face with a just transition, have been selected as partners for this project. An IRB protocal has been intiated for this research project.
