SAMs 1.1.1--During Phase I, we established recycled glass sand material and ecological safety for use in environmental restoration projects. This is from analyzing recycled glass sand's shape, size, and chemical composition. In the second phase of this project, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) will take part. As members and researchers at UTRGV, they were realized from two perspectives: 1.Environmental evaluation of recycled glass sand in different environments such as fish tanks, Laguna Madre, and the Gulf of Mexico, among others 2. Physicochemical analysis and characterization of the material from environmental exposure in terms of temperature, waves, and ecosystem. From the evaluation of this used glass sand to be able to use these materials to its use in environmental restoration projects and to apply and implement the projects in Louisiana and extend this project to the State of Texas. This project will brandish a possibility to expand the growth of many states at the US level, and why not? The world. Thus, power to establish a regional network blue economy from scratch in different coastal communities in the USA. Likewise, to involve society in the implementation of strategies that promote how to reduce, reuse, and recycle consumable materials and help the community and the environment by saving money, energy, and natural resources.
