SAMs 1.1.1--Schaeffler Group USA would like to collaborate with the University Transportation Center for Railway Safety (UTCRS) at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) to seek AAR approval for Class K bearings. The testing of bearings will be conducted in two phases and will extend over the period of Feb 2023 to Dec 2023. The first phase will be internal Durability M934 test which will be conducted for 2.5 months. The second phase will consist of two tests AAR M934 Durability & M959 Accelerated life test which will be conducted in front of AAR auditor as well. The detail of the two phase and tests are below.
