SAMs 1.1.1--In this research project, Dr. Christoffersen will recruit undergraduate students for the program and work with them to curate and present their data at conferences. Recruitment efforts include, but are not limited to, preparing, posting, and distributing flyers about the summer program widely among UTRGV undergraduate students hosting a recruitment event, with lunch provided, on at least one UTRGV campus (Edinburg & Brownsville). Assisting students with curation and presentation of data at a conference includes: Reviewing tables, figures, and summary statistics of their data. Assisting them in organization of content in an oral or poster format. Offering students an opportunity to practice presentation with feedback. Ensuring students have appropriate travel permission (dean of students) and adequate transportation to/from the conference.
