SAMs- 1.4.4 In this research project, the Subcontractor agrees to provide services as a minority entity (ME) collaborator to the National Institute on Disability, Independent living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) sponsored Langston University Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (LU-RRTC) grant as specified in the approved grant to include: Category A: Research Infrastructure 1) Facilitate an adequate response to the LU-RRTC developed "Research Infrastructure Needs Assessment Survey" by University of Texas Rio Grande Valley research fellows. 2) Based on "Research Infrastructure Needs Assessment Survey" results and signed Itemized Budget Outline Form", in Attachment A, facilitate the purchase of items, not to exceed a maximum cost of $6,250.00, to enhance disability and rehabilitation research infrastructure (e.g., teaching release time, library materials, data collection and management software, computers, monitors and printers, supplies to support Fellow field initiated research [e.g., paper, toner, pens, calculators]). All research infrastructure items must be approved by the LURRTC Principal Investigator prior to pur.chase. Category B: Research Fellows 1) Facilitate the participation of three (3) faculty scholars (Fellow (1), Fellow (2), and Fellow (3) from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley as Research Fellows in LU-RRTC's Peer-to-Peer Mentor Research Team Academy. 2) Academy Fellows will work as a research team with an RRTC assigned mentorship panel to: (a) develop a research project, and (b) develop a research proposal to be submitted to NIDRR for funding considerations. 3) Fellows will participate in all Academy trainings (i.e., Residency Phase, State-of-the-Science Conference, Research Leadership Institute, Webcasts and Podcasts) and community of practice activities. Fellows' travel to Academy events will be funded through the LU-RRTC.
