SAMs- 1.1.1 In this resesarch project, with a batch of Hamelia patens grown by Sponsor, Principal Investigator will collect, onsite at Sponsor’s greenhouse facility located in Mercedes, TX, representative specimens of Hamelia patens for preservation and certification. Each harvest will be considered to be one batch and Sponsor will perform three harvests per year for a total of three batches per year. THe Principal Investigator will prepare one Voucher Specimen for each batch and prepare three herbarium sheets per collection event. Of the herbarium sheets prepared, Principal Investigator will select the best quality herbarium sheet and designate that herbarium sheet as the Voucher Specimen for that batch. Principal Investigator will prepare a Certificate of Authenticity for the Voucher Specimen, in which Principal Investigator certifies the species of each batch.
