Note:

The goal of this project is to improve teachers’ knowledge and application of behavior analytic strategies for teaching students with autism. To meet this goal, teachers will enroll in a 12-week workshop led by the research team and several Education Service Center (ESC) specialists.  Workshop sessions will be held virtually every two weeks, during which teachers will read about the topic, attend a 60-min professional development session, and engage in a 30-min discussion.  Teachers will be expected to develop written action plans for integrating the topic into the classroom with their students. Teachers will also be expected to complete several pre- and post-test measures to evaluate changes in knowledge, performance, and perceptions. It is estimated that each teacher will serve 10 students with autism for a total of 180 teachers and 1,800 students served (600 students in Year 1; 1,200 students in Year 2).
