Note:

SAMs 1.1.4. CMIT will continue to house the SCRC and the full-time Project Manager will continue to implement and direct the program. The objectives for year six of the SCRC program include: Continue to promote and maintain a searchable online database; Identifying areas that still need additional empirical research and areas where sufficient training and technical assistance resources do not yet exist; The expansion and implementation of the training and technical assistance infrastructure, which includes the appointment of local specialty court experts to the SCRC TTA Bureau and reliance on expertise from the field to conduct court observations that will be used in conjunction with completed assessments to identify gaps and areas where program enhancements can be made. Identified gaps and trends will help tailor needed statewide training; and Establishing a formal review loop in order to monitor the quality, timeliness, cost, and effectiveness of this project and assess the need for improvements. This program will continue to enable Texas’ specialty courts to implement best practices that reduce recidivism, are cost efficient, and position Texas as a national leader in the field. During year six of this project, Texas’ specialty courts will be able request and receive timely, reliable, and effective TTA that will significantly enhance specialty court performance and outcomes while building a community of peers.
