SAMs 1.1.1. From the budget justification: A significant portion of the grant funds will cover living expenses not covered by the home institution’s stipend. These funds are integral to her completion of the program and allow the fellow to focus on graduate school and RWJF training.This grant will also cover general research expenses such as purchasing statistical software, research-related equipment (e.g., tablets, physiological measures, and laptops), and participant payment to accomplish research-centered goals around health equity. Overall, this portion of the funds will allow the fellow and her research team to conduct high-quality research studies promptly with quality research techniques and create an alliance with participants that ensures appropriate payment. Critically, this will contribute to the literature that generates policy for justice-involved individuals. Moreover, this grant will cover professional meeting expenses such as conference fees, workshops, and travel expenses (e.g., hotel, flights, and gas). As a budding researcher, it is critical to disseminate and communicate research findings in a collegiate manner. These funds will empower the fellow to find and create a coalition of researchers dedicated to quality research-informed policy. This category results in a total of $8,000 over four years. Finally, the fellow will allot a portion of the funds for education-related materials like textbooks, school supplies, and other school-required items. This money contributes to the successful completion of both programs and excels in clinical psychology and justice policy will result in $3,000 over four years in the grant funds. Additionally, my home institution is taking the additional administrative fee of $1,000 per funding year. In total, the grant funds will amount to $124,000.
