Note:
1.1.1 This project will evaluate the nutritional attributes of hemp residue and its effects in animal performance, including growth and milk yield. To accomplish the project’s goal, an in vitro, chemical analysis, and in vivo animal performance and choice feeding experiments using goats will be conducted. Results from the project will lay the scientific foundation for understanding the chemical and biological values of hemp biomass, provide accurate information essential to establish standard rate of inclusion into animal ration, thereby reduce the use of grain for livestock feed.
