1.1.1 The research goal of this project is to explore novel design of quantum-aware complex-valued neural networks that tailored to quantum circuit implementation, and examine their efficiency and performance in both Qiskit and IBM Quantum hardware. Students will work closely with the PIs on this research project and will be mentored by the PIs and IBM researchers. In addition, educational, training, and outreach activities will be carried out to encourage and enable broad participation in QML and prepare students to be highly-qualified future workforce in the emerging quantum field for the nation.
