1.1.1 The proposed CCRI infrastructure will enable CISE-relevant data-driven research thrusts spanning five key smart manufacturing system elements: (1) cybersecurity by design; (2) compiler optimizations for smart manufacturing process plan and tool paths; (3) forensics and watermarking of smart manufacturing machines; (4) protections against smart manufacturing process unique side-channels; and (5) fingerprinting and securing the smart manufacturing networks. The pilot academic-industry partnership will be enabled through Secure America Institute.
