1.4.2 The over goal of this project is to bring together expertise from multiple research institutions across the United States to explore collaborative opportunities in advancing goat genome to phenome research. To achieve the goal, we propose the following objectives/activities: 1) to discuss goat genome, pan-genome, and pan-epigenome: Current progress and future directions; 2) develop a joint goat pan-genome research proposal; 3) visit International Goat Research Center at Prairie View A&M University; 4) to visit Animal Genomics and Improvement Laboratory located in Beltsville, MD; 5) to discuss genomic selection in dairy and meat goats:
