Note:
1.3.1 My research is a techno-economic analysis of industrial-scale cultivation of broccoli microgreens and transport of microgreens. Cancer therapy diets can be consumed orally by capsized pills or by a change in diet. To satisfy both conditions, large vehicles with the capacity to hold large quantities of microgreens will be needed. However, the form of transportation must be fitted to sustain the biodegradability during the transport from greenhouse to market or pharmacy. For this research, we will need transportation to carry the produce. Crops that can only grow in certain regions, like avocados from Mexico, have special considerations on when the crop can be harvested and how they will fly/drive the produce to be distributed around America since this research will be commercially grown and have critical time limits to decrease the travel time for expiration. T his way, we can safely get the crops to their destination quickly using a farm-to-market metho. The cost of truck transportation is the best solution due to the truck, and the driver pays to transport microgreens directly to stores. My research can enhance the field of transportation because it involves the produce industry. Food will always be in high demand, and it is crucial to sell fresh produce quickly to consumers.
