1.1.1. The overarching goal of the proposed research is to design, fabricate and implement advanced materials and structures to improve electrical insulation of high voltage systems. It is the objective of this project to exploit potential benefits of unconventional high-voltage electrode materials and geometries to mitigate the risk of electrical breakdown and extend the life-time of high-voltage equipment.
