Note:
1.1.1: The objective of this research is to fill the existing bioinformatics gap by developing a new workflow combining the efficient extraction of targe capture sequences in HybPiper with the OTU identification power of QIIME for hundreds of nuclear loci in mixed samples. The Comprehensive Database will be used to verify the precision and specificity of the Proposed Workflow. Sensitivity will be tested using mock adulterated samples containing DNA from botanicals of interest and common potential contaminants.
