Title of Contract, Award, or Gift: The Development of a Person Borne Electronically Enhanced TADD PBE2T for Advanced K9 Training and Testing
Name of Granting or Contracting Agency/Entity:
Excet Incorporated
CFDA: 12
Program Title: n/a
Note:
1.1.1: The purposed of this project is the development of a person-borne electronically enhanced TADD (PBE2T) as an explosive odor delivery device as an alternative to overcome some of the limitations that traditional Person-borne dog training and testing methods have. An olfactometer approach would allow not just for computer control of an explosive odor presentation but will also ensure blind conditions during training and testing because the volunteer or decoy will not know which odor the olfactometer is presenting to the dogs at a given time. Furthermore, coupled with a GPS tracker a PBE2T could be leveraged to collect additional data that can be used to evaluate performance and improve Person-borne detection dog training.
