Note:
1.1.1: The purpose of this research project is to establish a method to evaluate the existing pavement structural condition and design continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) overlays, both thin and thick. The design methods will include nondestructive (NDT) pavement evaluation techniques and tools, deflection based CRCP slab thickness design procedures, and CRCP reinforcing design details. Objectives include identifying state-of-the-art practices that can be implemented as well as areas that need additional research. The findings from this research will result in procedures that will be used to design CRCP overlays, both thin and thick.
