Note:

Our main research objective is to develop an innovative single-molecule methodology to define how neurons modulate oligomerizations of Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD1), the frontline antioxidant protein, in response to environmental stressors for neuronal antioxidant defense. Particular emphasis will be placed on the "in-cell quantification of protein oligomer distributions". All experiments will be conducted using homozygous knock-in human embryonic stem cell-derived neurons, ensuring that our results are physiologically relevant and reflect the native mechanisms of neuronal antioxidant defense.
