Our scientific premise comes from our data probing conformational dynamics of αXβ2 and its ligand-binding domain, αX I-domain; our biophysical measurements and cell-based assays showed that αXβ2 and the αX -domain structural dynamism essentially create a much wider conformational space than hitherto explored. These preliminary studies have led us to develop the present proposal, a detailed plan for ynderstanding the dynamic allostery of αXβ2. SAMs 1.1.3
