(1) compilation of pre-processed seismic waveform data will undergo further processing; (2) calculation of seismic receiver functions at each of 40 seismographic stations in and around Indonesia; (3) compilation of the measured crustal thickness and Vp/Vs ratio at each seismographic station. (Vp and Vs are the crustal P-wave and S-wave seismic velocities, respectively.) (4) Written technical report describing the results in terms of the potential existence of hydrothermal fluids or partially molten rocks within the crust, and the implications for volcanic hazards.
