This proposal will leverage microfluidic systems and functional assays to elucidate the roles of REVs in complement activation and thromboinflammation, and to use REVs as a biomarker to evaluate CS activation and thromboinflammation in individual patients with SCD. This project will yield a more precise evaluation of clinical outcomes, as well as effective screening and selection of candidate therapeutic interventions in SCD. SAMs 1.1.1
