This proposed study will use Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to examine the research question, “How do leaders of EE PhD programs conceptualize quality in EE PhD programs?” This study will be informed by Nerad’s (2014) input, throughput, and output (I-T-O) PhD quality framework, which I, Benjamin (2019), modernized with a view towards integrating diverse student needs and aspirations throughout the framework.
