Title of Contract, Award, or Gift: COMBINING MULTIPLE SURVEY DATA TO EFFICIENTLY MODEL CONSUMER EXPENDITURES AND LABOR COST
Name of Granting or Contracting Agency/Entity:
American Statistical Association
CFDA: 00.000
Program Title: n/a
Note:
I will apply novel statistical models and methods in jointly analyzing cross sectional survey data to accurately estimate temporal trends of consumer expenditures, correct bias due to survey response and modeling technical difficulty, study expenditure patterns, individual labor cost (e.g. salary, benefit), their joint distributions, and the impact of shocks (e.g. 2008 recession, and Covid-19 pandemic) on consumer expenditures and employment cost through statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and forecast. Furthermore, I will study joint distributions of the labor cost and consumer expenditures by studying their correlations and monitoring their trend interplay. SAMs 1.1.1
