This proposal aims to make such a reality using instruments from an already funded nascent Seafloor Geodetic Instrument Pool (SGIP) that incorporates Global Navigational Satellite Systems with Acoustic ranging (GNSS-A), and sea-Bottom Pressure Recorders (BPR), deploying twelve such sites for observing both long-term horizontal and short-term vertical deformation in the environments poorly understood using current land-based tools.
