Note:

The goal of this project is a proof-of-concept demonstration of a magnetic LFA sensor for the detection of elevated blood levels of interleukin proteins (e.g., IL-6) to predict and manage cytokine release syndrome (CRS) in at-risk patients who no longer need hospital care but require close monitoring for possible complications. University of Houston will be responsible for the development of the magnetic LFA and the testing of spiked blood samples for method development, optimization and characterization purposes, as needed by the project. The UH team will also assist Dr. Chang in the LFA integration with the magnetic sensor. SAMs 1.1.1
