Title of Contract, Award, or Gift: OPTIMAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN DEREGULATED ELECTRICITY MARKETS

Name of Granting or Contracting Agency/Entity: SHELL INT'L EXPLORATION AND PROD'N INC

CFDA: 00.000

Program Title: n/a

Note:

In this project, we will investigate how to optimally manage energy resources in deregulated electricity market environments. The electricity prices in deregulated markets could vary substantially in time and location, which would largely affect power resource management. We will develop a deep-learning based electricity price prediction method that could predict the wholesale electricity price; input features may include weather condition information and historical data. Then, we will develop an optimal resource management system that takes the predicted price as input in the decision-making process. SAMs 1.1.1
