Note:
We will investigate the cracks and the failure process in concrete structures which include, but not be limited to, retaining walls, roadway pavements, and bridge slabs, on TxDOT facilities. We will also locate and evaluate fluid leakage at cracks and joints, seepage from construction materials, and erosion problems using some of the available and new technologies. We will also evaluate the various effective repair methods based on laboratory study and field monitoring. We will investigate various types of paints, sealers and grouts used to determine the coverings' protective effectiveness and durability under existing environmental conditions. Also the studies will investigate the controlling fluid leaks and seepage and also the durability of the material. SAMs 1.1.7
