Title of Contract, Award, or Gift: METAMATERIALS FOR GEOTHERMAL WELL INTEGRITY MONITORING

Name of Granting or Contracting Agency/Entity: OCEANIT LABORATORIES, INC.

CFDA: 00.000

Program Title: n/a

Note:

This project is to study Oceanit-developed sensing acoustic metamaterials for applications in well cement and fracture network monitoring. These materials can be combined with advanced remote detection techniques and data processing methods to create a robust geothermal well integrity diagnostics system. Such as system will reduce failure rates, increase performance, and improve economics of geothermal power generation. Increased knowledge of well performance will also help to better guide well construction and operation. The enhanced cost savings and reliability of geothermal systems enabled by new monitoring technologies will expand their potential and adoption. SAMs 1.1.1 and 1.1.7
