Note:
NNPHI would like Houston Foresight to propose on designing and delivering the workshop in January on learning the foundational skills of foresight. Houston Foresight proposes two four-hour training workshops, the first in January and the second in February, with some homework in between. The central focus of the workshops builds upon teaching participants the scanning and sensemaking activities from the Houston Foresight program’s Framework Foresight process. The approach will be a combination of lecture, discussion, and team exercises. The four components to the full year-long training are: Learning foundational skills of foresight (scanning and sensemaking) Identifying and leveraging multi sector collaboration • Decision support tools - using appropriate evidence in decision making Peer-learning / skill sharing SAMs 1.1.7 and 1.3.2
