Note:
Intercollegiate student-athletes experience increased psychological distress, insufficient social support, and inadequate resources. These factors significantly impact their well-being. Previously, we examined the impact of resources on the well-being of 500 student-athletes. Our results showed a relationship between resources (i.e., psychological, social, and physical) and well-being. However, our work and the overall field of athlete development is limited by the lack of a resource scale designed to measure the unique experiences of the student-athlete. We propose a study that will develop a practical scale that will yield critical information on the most influential resources that promote the well-being of the student-athlete. SAMs 1.1.1
