Note:
Dr. McConnell will characterize G-protein receptor-ligand labeling and immunofluorescence experiments. Specifically, he will measure the endothelin-1 receptor density and trafficking in microvascular cells. In addition, he will assist in studies to measure the specific cellular patterns of this receptor and Thromboxane A2 receptors involved in K2P channel-mediated vasoreactivity and cellular proliferation. He will also assist the PI with study design and additionally oversee and supervise the technical support for the radioligand and confocal laser microscopy portions in Aim 2 of this proposal. Together, he will lend his considerable expertise in helping the PI in the design of all Aim 2 experiments measuring intracellular signaling through radioligand assays. SAMs 1.1.1
