The project aims to understand wheelchair rugby athletes' perform ance enhancement experiences relating to their intentions in inducing autonomic dysreflexia (AD). Through a quantitative descriptive design, we will determine the frequency and forms of boosting, strategies in inducing AD and engaging with the bladder. Identifying these results will inform practitioners and academics of the use of AD for performance enhancement for the population of athletes with disabilities, and allow for greater guidance related to risk management in disability sport.
