Note:
This workshop will bring together architectural historians who have been teaching and reworking the architecture history survey in their schools, to address these questions. First, invited speakers will present their thoughts on the two-semester architectural history sequence and the ways they reworked this existing model. Then, a roster of participants will develop and compare teaching materials for new introductory architecture history courses drawing on GAHTC content, including syllabi, lectures, readings, and assignments, followed by a public discussion of our efforts. Together, we will conceptualize the futures, limits, and potentialities of the introductory architecture history course, beyond the survey. SAMs 1.1.1
