Note:

(SAM Category 1.1.1.)UTA will implement Plastic Road to reduce pavement cracking and to reduce long term maintenance of pavement at locations in North Dallas area. These sites will be decided based on the discussion with area office of Receiving Agency Dallas District. UTA will: Provide technical assistance in site investigation, planning and evaluating geotechnical engineering properties of soils beneath the cracked roadway. 1.2 Provide assistance in preparing, implementing plastic road and conducting instrumentation at the repaired pavement sites. UTA shall provide support during installation and monitoring of instruments on a regular basis. Monitor plastic road sites. Based on the monitoring results, UTA shall determine the effectiveness of the implemented solutions. UTA shall perform both (1) non destruction tests and (2) collect core samples to evaluate the performance of plastic road surface. Assist in analyzing and reporting the collected instrumentation and field / lab testing data. UTA shall install modified moisture barrier (New sites) to reduce pavement cracking and to reduce long term maintenance of pavement at few different areas/locations identified by the district during the contract duration. UTA shall: Provide direction in site investigation, planning and evaluating geotechnical engineering properties of soils beneath the cracked roadway shoulder. Provide assistance in preparing, implementing moisture barrier, and conducting instrumentation at the repaired pavement sites in three different sections. UTA shall provide technical support during installation and monitoring of instruments on a regular basis. Monitor instrumented sites. Based on the monitoring results, UTA shall determine the effectiveness of the implemented solutions. Assist in analyzing and reporting the collected instrumentation data.
