Note:
(SAM Category 1.1.1.) The objective of this project is to investigate a fast optical reconfigurable intelligent surface (FORIS), based on the critically coupled monolayer 2D materials in semiconductor photonic crystal slab (PCS) cavities. The surface properties of the FORIS can be actively modulated by switching between perfect reflection (R=100%) and perfect absorption (A=100%) at 1 GHz and above speed.
