Note:
The primary mission of G-RISE at the University of Texas at El Paso is to increase the participation and retention of underrepresented minority (URM) students in biomedical research. The G-RISE program will involve the training of URM Ph.D. trainees from the Departments of Biological Sciences and Chemistry and Biochemistry. The overarching goal of this proposal is to significantly increase the participation of URM doctoral students in these Ph.D. programs over the next 5 years and successfully prepare them for careers in the research workforce using effective, evidence-informed approaches.
