Continuation application: These doctoral students will be identified through a national recruitment effort reaching out to universities affiliated with the National Science Foundation LSAMP program, placed in outstanding research laboratories under the supervision of distinguished faculty, mentored by faculty throughout their doctoral studies, and supported by the BD leadership team beyond their Ph.D. completion. The overarching goal of the BD project is to provide a pathway and support system to increase the number of historically URM students who complete doctoral degrees in STEM programs.
