The proposed project is a joint effort between UTEP and UC Santa Barbara to investigate cohesive particle flows in the environment- materials such as sand, sediment, and snow flowing in air and water. UTEP scientists will leverage their experience in field, laboratory, and computational studies of these flows to validate and verify UCSB's high- resolution computer models and laboratory studies of cohesive particle flows.
