Program Title: Cybersecurity, Energy Security & Emergency Response (CESER)
Note:
The project aims to design and develop algorithms and tools for enhancing the resiliency and reliability of the DER-integrated distribution grid. In Particular, we will develop technology and solutions for cyber-physical security situational awareness, advanced cyber-physical anomaly detection and mitigation, and attack resiliency. With the advancements of distribution automation and high penetration of distributed energy resources, one of the major challenges is to get 100% visibility of the distributed sensors and sanitize the large volumes of the data from anomalies that can occur either by maloperation of sensors or false data injection by cyber adversaries. In this project, we try to address this problem and conduct rigorous testbed-based testing and evaluation, followed by field demonstration at the utility to ensure our solutions are feasible and practically applicable in real grid operations
