through the AET, an independent, stand-alone project led by EFI and in collaboration with Breakthrough Energy (BE), Columbia's Center for Global Energy Policy (CGEP), and the Aspen Institute, analyze options, propose pathways, and build broad consensus for reinvention of the DOE's energy programs/institutional infrastructure; these pathways and the associated outreach and inputs will be specifically designed to enhance the pace and scale of energy innovation, an essential need for meeting US and global deep decarbonization goals, and enhancing the opportunities for DOE and national lab personnel.
