Note:
This work will encompass produced water data collection, validation, and integration into a water treatment database for the U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory. A gap analysis will be performed to identify regions with high water use impact and low data availability. Artificial intelligence (AI)/ML modeling will be performed to fill in the gaps in water chemistry. Industry will be consulted to collect high-quality produced water samples for integration into database from region(s) where gaps exist. Chemical analysis will be performed to identify key aqueous and solid species (in particular) as needed to validate the AI/ML methods.
