Note:
The objective of this project is to have a complete asset management database for the water system in geographic information system with all the required attributes as stated in appendix A. This project is a collaboration between Lower Valley Water District (LVWD} and UTEP with continued communication during the project to resolve any question we both have. Initial Data and maps will be provided by LVWD and new data collected will be appended to the geodatabase, which will be the final product of this project with a documentation report. Texas State plane or UTM Coordinate system will be used for all feature classes in the database as agreed on by LVWD. The scope of this project includes the following: LVWD Task proposal 1.The current water meters GPS accuracy is 2.5 meters ( 9ft) according to the company installing the meters. This could affect the location of meters that are close to each other. Using a survey grade GPS will give us a precise location rather than an approximate location. 2. Once the installation of the meters is completed, and a new layer is created in GIS, then a lateral water line will be created attaching the meters to the main water line. Attributes can be added to each water meter. 3. Organize lease working units (WU} and attach them to GIS asset once scanned by the selected company including the large maps. 4. Helping Krystal with GIS work and questions when needed.
